Substitution and variations:

  • Shrimp – When you think of a Greek salad you may think of a traditional Greek chicken salad. But heyyy, it’s your kitchen, switch it up with an unexpected protein choice.
  • Pepperoncini – You can also use, banana peppers, poblano peppers, or even pickled jalapenos.
  • Artichoke hearts – Canned or jarred artichoke hearts make an excellent addition to any salad, they’re meaty full of fiber, and easy to toss into anything. Marinated in herb-infused oil or canned in water, the choice is yours.
  • Zoodles – The use of zucchini noodles is what makes this salad unique. By replacing romaine or leafy greens with fresh zoodles you’ll enjoy a more dense and hearty meal full of fiber.
