1 Grill
1 Oil spritzer
1 Knife
1 Cutting board
1 Metal Tongs
- 3 Heads of romaine lettuce (whole)
- 3 Slices of sourdough bread Artisan if possible
- 1 tsp Olive oil
- 1 tbsp Parmesan cheese
- 2 Lemons Optional
- S & P to taste
- Caesar dressing of choice
- 3 Chicken breast
Start by pre-heating your grill and making sure it's clean.
Prep your romaine by slicing each romaine head down the middle, rinse under water, and let dry.
Spray the romaine halves, lemon halves, and sliced bread with olive oil lightly and place on a plate or large cutting board to bring out to your grill.
Set grill to medium heat and place romaine, lemon, and bread slices face down for 2-3 or until it has some nice line marks. Romaine should take no more than 3 minutes, and the bread slices and lemons should take a few more minutes. When done, remove and set aside.
Cube sourdough croutons.
Serve romaine halves as is or chop, sprinkle Parmesan cheese, add cubed sourdough, and dress as desired.
Grilled Chicken
Pound chicken to thin out.
Season chicken breast with s&p or desired seasoning blend. I love Flavor God everything season-I usually get a big bottle from Costco.
Place on medium-heated grill for about 6-7 minutes (depending on thickness), flip when ready.
Let sit for 5 minutes before slicing so the chicken can finish internally cooking and is easier to cut.
Slice and plate on top or on side of grilled romaine.
