- 1 Frozen gluten-free pie crust Gluten free optional
- 2 Chicken sausage links Or meat pre cooked meat of choice
- 35 grams Low fat shredded cheese Or shredded cheese of choice
- 6 Egg whites
- 1 Whole egg
- 1/2 Yellow onion
- 1 tbsp Minced garlic
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups Broccoli
Preheat oven to 425 degrees (F), bake the crust for 10-15 minutes, then remove it from the oven and set aside while reducing the temperature to 350 degrees (F).
Set your pan to medium-high heat for about 30 seconds before adding oil or butter. Add the 1/2 chopped yellow onion, 1 cup of chopped broccoli, and garlic-cook for 3-5 until the onions are translucent, then remove from heat.
In a bowl separate the 6 egg whites from the egg, then combine them with 1 whole egg and 1/4 low-fat shredded cheese. Beat until smooth and season with salt and pepper
Place chopped sausage links (or pre-cooked meat of choice) in the baked pie crust, then add your veggie mixture, followed by your cheesy egg mixture.
Pop this in the oven for about 35-40 minutes.
Remove the quiche from the oven and let sit for about 15-20 minutes while the egg continues to cook through.
